Halloween Disco Fundraiser raises €250 for Temple Street

On the 27th of October in Ballinspittle Hall ghosts, vampires & witches gathered for a very worthy cause. Ballinspittle National School Parents Association held a Halloween Disco in aid of Temple Street and raised €250!

Here is Senior Infants and First Class with the cheque!

Lava Lamp Science Experiment

Fourth Class had great fun creating their own lava lamps using water, oil, food colouring & alka seltzer!  Each child brought home their own lava lamp.

Health Promoting Flag Presentation

There were big celebrations on Friday the 27th of October as the school was presented with the Health Promoting School Flag by the Health Promotion Officer, Eileen Haran.

Each member of the Commitee was presented with a cerificate for their hard work by Mrs Wall. Two members of the Ballinspittle Comhaltas All Ireland Fleadh Group champions played for us as the flag was raised- Áine O’Reilly & Joseph Collins!Mrs Wall and Ms Lyne have worked hard over the last two years to implement the Health Promoting Schools programme in Balllinspittle National School. This programme helps schools to focus on health and wellbeing and involves all members of the school community.

Power at the school

We have power again and therefore school will reopen again tomorrow Friday 20/10/2017.

However if there is a loss of power again we will notify you immediately.

The latest update from the ESB is that the estimated power restoration for the fault on our school is 20th October 8 pm.

Therefore school will remain closed  tomorrow 19/10/2017.

Power Update 18/10/17

Dear Parents,

The latest information we have from ESB is that they are currently working to repair a fault on a line that is affecting our school and the estimated restoration time is 18/10/2017 22:00.
If this is correct and power is restored by 22:00 hours school will open tomorrow 19/10/17.
If power is not restored as estimated we will inform you immediately and school will not reopen.
